Sor’Tak is another fast-rising star in the Starfleet Sciences Division. He really belongs in a classroom given his mix of extraordinary knowledge of Physics, Astrophysics, as well as Leadership and Instruction skills. Sor’Tak apparently offended the Vulcan Sciences Academy when he was a young LT aboard a Constitution-class starship. The details of the offense are shrouded in typical Vulcan mystery, but the fact he was sent to the Merchant Marine Division after his LT tour is surely indicative of the severity of whatever transpired. Now promoted to LCDR, Sor’Tak has been assigned as Chief Science Officer aboard a ship that is not optimized for either exploration or survey work. It surely seems his punishment is not over yet.
