South Korean Navy sailors welcome the arrival of a 11,400-ton Russian cruiser yesterday at a Navy port in Busan. Around 50 warships and 30 navy aircraft from 12 countries, including the United States, China, Japan and Russia, will appear at the international fleet review which began yesterday and will last until Friday. JoongAng Daily.

The first ship on the forward-left is Varyag, a SLAVA (Atlant) Project 1164 CG.  Note the nice SS-N-19 SHIPWRECK/P-700 Granit missile tubes.  Outboard of Varyag is Marshal Shaposhnikov, a UDALOY (Fregat) Project 1155R DD.  Astern of Varyag appears to be the ROKN amphibious helo carrier Dokdo.

The USS George Washington also arrived in town, but will apparently be anchored out instead of coming pierside.  The GW just got to Japan in time to deploy to Busan for the Fleet Review.  Welcome to WESTPAC!
